eheheheh ;v;Words should be just words, and shouldn't have such a sting to them. Wistful to think, the bitterness of Alex was just water off his back, wishing that every well-deserve snip didn't really do their purpose of making wriggle in guilt. It'll certainly make the thoughts of giving up go away a hell of a lot faster.
Zephyr licked his lips nervously, keeping his head straight and mouth sealed because what the hell does he respond to that rhetorical question? Keeping quiet was his best bet. He thought of it already, and pretty much knew the answer to it. If his friends ever found out, he'll probably be the butt of many upon many jokes. And the harassment for Alex could become worse than better. Though, that wasn't the only thing that made him hesitate.
Hypocrite. Fitting for the brunette, if anything. Because he knew he was one already. Hearing the word leaving Alex's mouth, though, what stung the most. He knew he was one but God damn it, he didn't take pride at all, who would? He lagged a few steps behind, running his hand through his messy locks as a more weary sigh slipped past. "Tell me something I don't know..." He mumbled to himself. Alex sure knew ways to keep the smile wiped off his face.
Tap tap tap their footsteps on the linoleum floor, the sound becoming more and more louder to his ears between the silence of him and Alex, and the fact 95% of the students were currently in class, leaving the halls empty as a ghost town. Scary how fast people can disappear in the matter of minutes. Yet... it sounded like a third pair of steps, the indistinguishable sound of heels clicking against the flooring.
Oh shit. Was the witch already out on the move. He glanced behind him, before speeding up his own steps because they sound like they're coming faster? "Aheheh, the bathroom is right here um, hurry in." He rushed out, being the first to duck into the bathroom. Shit. The classroom was down the hall, but... he was not risking the detention. Practice was afterschool today and the coach wouldn't be too thrilled if he missed it.
"Uh, I'm gonna be in here just for a moment- I just think, the hall monitor is out there and um... " He chuckled awkwardly, standing near the door, tempted to peek out to see if the patrolling teacher was out.
