♦ GENERAL ♦
♦ UNO:
First of all, be nice to other members. We don't expect you to get along like peas in a pod with absolutely everyone on the site but, please, don't cause any unneccesary drama or awkward vibes. If you've got a problem with someone (and for a good reason, like, for example, they're ripping coding or accosting you via PM) don't hesitate in notifying the admin.♦ DOS:
Respect the admins and don't get snippy if they're taking a while to do what you want them to do. Pestering for a post or just being a total butt to a member of staff (or any DD member actually) really won't go down well.♦ TRES:
We allow foul language to certain degree. Just because it's permitted doesn't really mean you can embellish your posts with a crude snippet every five words or flood the c-box with obscenities. Use your head a bit and know where to draw the line.♦ CUATRO:
Do you own your own RP site? That's great~ But don't advertise it on the c-box, seriously. Member or not, it's still poaching so... advertise it on the correct board please and you won't ruffle our feathers.♦ ROLEPLAY ♦
♦ UNO:
The minimum word count for an IC post is a meagre 150 words, it's not too high and shouldn't be too difficult to aim for because the last thing we want to see is one-liners in a thread, plus it gives RP'ers something to reply to, if you catch my drift.♦ DOS:
There's no character limit on DD; you're allowed as maaany characters you can handle. This means, like, you gotta try to keep each and every one of them minimally active. And remember to make an account for each character you create~♦ TRES:
Once you've filled in your character's application and posted it you have to hold on for the staff to look over it and accept it (or pointing out somthing to be changed) before moving on. WIPs are allowed to be posted but after two weeks they'll disappear to the Archives but you can poke the staff to bring it back.♦ CUATRO:
After being accepted, your character will receive £500 to spend as he/she wishes in the IC Store. You must create an inventory for them to keep track of their items with and link it in their signature. Plotters and thread trackers aren't mandatory but a character inventory is! No inventory, no cool items. End of.♦ CINCO:
No god-moding, no power-playing and no mary-sues. If you're not familiar with these terms it basically means no being invincible, no controlling other characters and no having your character be perfect and excel magnificently at every single task they attempt. Seriously. It's annoying for me and it's annoying for everyone. So don't do it. ♦ SEIS:
Remember, the deeper you go into the city, the higher the risk of bigger and badder zombies coming out so be realistic. Don't send your newbie survivor armed with only a pocket knife into, say, the Underground tunnels for example and expect to come out unscathed... unless the quality of the posts are exceptional~♦ SIETE:
This probably goes without saying but no mature content in your posts. Fade to black if your characters are getting down and dirty.. This is a PG site, after all. Feel free, by all means, to continue via Skype or some other offsite form of communication if you really want to describe in intricate detail how your character smashes their way through a zombie or continue the, ahem, maturity in your post. Just nothing on DD, por favor.♦ GRAPHICS ♦
♦ UNO:
It's best that signatures don't exceed 600px in width so they don't get resized to fit the forum (I think the maximum is 600 anyway... uh, yeah), height doesn't really matter so long as it isn't too large. Avatars have gotta be 150 x 200px! If you can't resize/crop at image to those dimensions, PM this admin account and we can do it for you.♦ DOS:
If you use a premade template, image or signature make sure to keep the credit and try not to use copyrighted images on the site (so no sneakily getting rid of any watermarks). Stealing is no bueno, amigos.♦ TRES:
This one's probably obvious but I'll say it anyway: no offensive or mature imagery. We don't want to find anything porny or overly gross in the boards.
