This decision might have been one of his less brighter things he done.
Risk was an unnecessary gal that he honestly never, ever wanted to mess with- she was tricky, cruel and a plain jerk when it comes down to it, using all the dirty tricks with absolute glee. Therefore, he hated her. Uncertain wasn't his friend and he never was lucky enough to tangle with the unknown without coming unscathed. In otherwords- if he's not the type to go and jump headfirst into things and suffer the consequences. A nope from him.
But... he made a risky decision at the moment. There been a string of safe houses being... not so safe. As the winter rolls in and this being the first winter within the camp for most people, activity seemed to be slowing down. Not much people beside foragers with the occasional scouts- the ghouls were slowing down, and bandits were awfully quiet. Until now, of course.
There been some rumors of a bandit roaming around and taking refuge in the safe point set up on Birch street. It was one from a forager, who was in to sell some wares, but it sparked his interest. There been a couple of disappearance of supplies and a missing, another forager that never came back from his assignment yet found in a backyard farther down the street. It was written off as the man came to a cruel fate, as there was the forager pack on the scene but... when Zephyr over heard it, it didn't feel right.
This wasn't a mission exactly set up by one specific. But he been an idiot. He was usually on focus, ready to hit the road at a moment notice yet... there was something he forgotten at the safehouse. It was a worthless thing to some, but for the sentimental freak he was, it was something he needed.
A family photo.
He carried around in his pocket, a family photo. Don't ask him why, since he never answered. It was a morbid thing but from time to time, looking at it made him happy. And it not being by his side, the only copy he had of it, he couldn't afford to lose. So he was venturing back to the safehouse, retrieving what he lost and getting out. A risky decision to go alone, especially with these rumors of a bandit running around.
....so yeah. Standing in front of the safe point, he looked both directions. Nobody was about, so the coast was clear. All he needed to do was be in and out- and he'll be home free.
