♦ PERSONALITY ♦
Humble· Compassionate · nervous · passive · Self-conscious· quick-witted· Untrusting
Nothing. If you asked him if there was one word to describe him, it'll be nothing. Not in a complete, self-deprecating way, it was just that he thought of himself honestly as nothing. Without a use. Not existing. Because being a person in the current state of the world, you weren't rich or poor, man or woman, you were alive. And since Zephyr didn't think of himself very much alive as a person, therefore he was nothing. A bit depressing to think about, but he took it with a spoonful of honey.
But that was mostly surface-wise and it wasn't a smart choice to ask him what he thought of himself during this rut he's stuck in. Growing up, he was a quiet child and that transferred into him to being more of a person that was appear calm and collected, but one who tread lightly where he walked. On the inside, especially when he was younger, what people thought of him was the most important and matter; now, it was just him developing into a being who was a bit careful how he presented himself. Polite and mannerly are words that could be thrown his way, as what he was, and he could maybe agree to that. You could thank his father for that, since an unruly son was the last what the ex-lawyer would want and taught him well. Zephyr, being a person who humbled himself, doesn't brag about his skill to think of his feet, though he's not masterfully on it- only with adrenaline pumping, does become apparent... if he doesn't crack under pressure.
When interacting with others, there was a time he was social and rather connected person; now, he's more reserve and keeps to himself. He's not a team player, as this was where untrusting nature comes it. He's not cruel or actually enjoys that aspect about himself, but Zephyr can't honestly trust someone fully with his life. In a given situation, where he could give his life for another and save them or run, he will pick the latter ninety percent of the time. But thankful, a lot of the people who work for the offense are bit of a pain, most having large boisterous attitudes that didn't earn an ounce of pity, nor has he met a person in his fraction he'll truly give his life for. He doesn't think its heartless, and its not he's not friends with no body from the Offense, its just... survival of the fittest?
His body is considerably healthy- it comes from the fact, he works on keeping it in tip-top condition whenever he can-, and a non-intimidating face. Mental health wise... ehhh, best not check up. Zephyr behind close doors cannot be the sanest on camp, but who would be? His scars mainly are connected to his family, and the first few months of him and his father on the move, traveling about the city before they found this camp. He freaks out in tight spaces, especially there's no escape; he absolute refuses to swim, and will not to even save his life; and he hasn't had a decent night rest in a while. He gets jittery when he stays in one place, leading to another reason to why he exercises often, and can be found often doing odd jobs. Ze tries to cover up his cracks best he can, but there's the fear that all this zombie killing, death and such would never let him return to the mindset of the normal society, if this infection ever become eradicated.

born december 13th · student in harper college · local
Zephyr came from a stereotypical family that was pretty well off, in most cases. A mother that didn't work, who spent most days taking care of him, and later on his brother; his Nana, a lady who had a firm belief of a being watching over us and being a bit narrow-minded in a sense, but still loved by him unconditionally; a brother who stuck his face into every and anything, more akin to a monkey than a person in mannerism; and there was his big, ole' papi, the bread winner of the family and even more closed-off than his grandmother. They lived in a rather comfortable sized home, not too big for the small family of five but never too small. Most nights were filled with smells from the kitchen, evenings with Nana as she preached to Ze about the dangers of life and never a still moment when Seamus, his baby brother, came in their lives.
Yet, Ze can say he was unhappy in that household, for most of his life. It was a warm household (most times) but didn't quite feel like a home to him. Maybe it was because of his controversial friendship with a certain Blond, which... down the line, became something bigger than the playful kisses of childhood. His father never really saw him the same, more like someone to embarrassed for- he wasn't assertive like he hoped, was quiet, was bullied never the bully, and the greatest shamed in the father's eyes: possible homosexual, after a few incidents involving him and Alex.
Every time a "problem" came up with his son, the Father had to remedy it somehow- when Zephyr was bullied, he push forth for him to join in sports to build up his confidence; when his son's mood dip into some troubling times, he invested a computer for to be wasted on; and when he caught his son pursuing a relationship at fifteen with Alex, he fixed it up by sending him to boarding school. But this all didn't have much positive effects, for the longest time Zephyr was sure he even hated his father for pushing him down and shaping him as if he was some mold to be filled.
It was the faithful day, when the infection hit and Zephyr's main concern at the time was his family. Abandoning all responsibilities at school and wishing Felix to stay safe, he rushed home. The trip, which took no more than ten minutes by car, because almost half the day trip. Weaving around cars, chaos and running as if hell was on his heels, he made it home. Only to discover he was too late- the infection with this cannibalistic beings already claimed his mother, Nana and Seamus. His father was ashamed, he was shocked, and... well, he'll leave it at that. They packed their things, materials and at the last second, Zephyr swiped a lot of photos from the album; they left the same afternoon he arrived, locking the door as neither had the heart to due away what was once their love ones locked on the second floor bedroom.
Zephyr and his father spent, what felt like years, a few months of traveling around in the city, looting whatever they can and trading for the essentials. They found the settlement at some point, after a man brought then there, as some hands and people were needed. They agreed, though cautiously, but once sold on the idea that the place was worth it and maybe even safe, they enlisted into the offense fraction, though more his father decision than his own.
