♦ THE HORDE! ♦
It's no secret that infected are rife in the streets outside of the settlement and your character is bound to encounter a few any time they venture daringly past the walls that protect them. But where's the fun in role-playing the ghouls yourself all the time? For an added element of uncertainty on the site, the horde can be controlled by the admin(s) in your thread.
But, besides from making zombies pour into your poor character's thread, The Horde account can bring in NPCs for you to interact with, situations - good or bad - that can affect the course of your thread or items, weapons or food for your character to find (if you want them to find it, of course). It's mostly infected all the time though. So if you get a post from this account expect zombies.
If your character takes on a group mission they're going to have The Horde account posting in their mission thread at some point and if it's a solo mission a post is going to definitely happen.
Light power-play may happen and if you don't like it, we're not sorry. It will never be anything too much though but we might hint grossly that there's absolutely no way your character can't save themselves from tripping on a broken floorboard or they've forgotten to pack extra ammo that morning (which will be impossible to happen though if you specify in a post at some point that they did). Just little things to spice the thread up a bit. We won't, under any circumstances, power-play your character receiving a bite or a scratch or some sort of injury from an infected.
But we might, say, have them break their little finger for a sadistic giggle.
Mission threads and normal threads that require a Horde post have to be posted in the thread for it so we know it needs a post. If you don't post it there, you might not get a Horde reply.
Feel free to have threads outside the settlement with infected in them that have no Horde intervention, the only difference is that any zombies killed will not be added up to your character's 'Kills' count.

♦ THE INFECTED! ♦
The site is one year into the outbreak of the virus that's turned our characters' world upside-down but, if that wasn't enough, there's reports trickling in of infected that're showing signs of, well, odd behaviour. This list will be expanded as new types are discovered.
♦ WALKER:
Your typical zombie that's happy shambling down the road at the pace of an octogenarian with aching joints. You can outrun these guys with just a brisk walk or fell them with a swift conk on the head that pierces the brain. Just remember before you get too full of yourself that they're in fact deadly up close, especially when they're in a close knit group, and want nothing more than to bite into your healthy flesh. Yum, yum. ♦ RUNNER:
Good luck outrunning these guys if that's your plan. They run at the average speed of a sprinting human except with the slight difference that they don't get tired. But you do. So running away isn't an ideal plan of action with these guys unless you know shelter is close by. Killed by piercing the skull if they don't run into you and knock you over first.
